stumbledupanextraflightofstairs,andwithoutanysuspicionofthefact,triedthedooroftheroomdirectlyovermine。ItisawondertomenowthatIcouldhavemadethemistake,forthehallsweretotallydissimilar,theoneabovebeingmuchmorecutupthantheonebelow,besidesbeingflankedbyagreaternumberofdoors。Buttheintoxicationofthemindisnotfarremovedfromthatofthebody,andasIsayitwasnottillIhadtriedthedoorandfounditlocked,thatIbecameawareofthemistakeIhadmade。
