89。\"Sincethepope,byhispardons,seeksthesalvationofsoulsratherthanmoney,whydoeshesuspendtheindulgencesandpardonsgrantedheretofore,sincethesehaveequalefficacy?\"

90。Torepresstheseargumentsandscruplesofthelaitybyforcealone,andnottoresolvethembygivingreasons,istoexposetheChurchandthepopetotheridiculeoftheirenemies,andtomakeChristiansunhappy。

91。If,therefore,pardonswerepreachedaccordingtothespiritandmindofthepope,allthesedoubtswouldbereadilyresolved;nay,theywouldnotexist。

92。Away,then,withallthoseprophetswhosaytothepeopleofChrist,\"Peace,peace,\"andthereisnopeace!
