Heandthetravellerwouldcampintheshadeforhalfanhourorsoandyarnandsmoke。Theoldmanwouldfindoutwherethetravellercamefrom,andhowlonghe’dbeenthere,andwherehewasmakingfor,andhowlonghereckonedhe’dbeaway;andaskiftherehadbeenanyrainalongthetraveller’sbacktrack,andhowthecountrylookedafterthedrought;andhe’dgetthetraveller’sideasonabstractquestions——
