ThepearlingseasoninthePaumotuswasover,andallhandswerereturningtoTahiti。Thesixofuscabinpassengerswerepearlbuyers。TwowereAmericans,onewasAhChoon(thewhitestChineseIhaveeverknown),onewasaGerman,onewasaPolishJew,andIcompletedthehalfdozen。
