CoronerPenfieldadjustedhiseyeglassesandscannedthespectatorsgatheredfortheTurnbullinquest。Theroomwascrowdedwithbothmenandwomen,thelatterpredominating,andthecoronerdecidedthat,whilesomehadcomefromapersonalinterestinthedeadman,themajorityhadbeenattractedbymorbidcuriosity。Therewasastiramongthespectatorsasaninnerdooropenedandthejury,ledbythemorguemasterfiledintotheroomandtooktheirplaces。
